![]() Exit the Institute and proceed to Bunker Hill. The player will have backup from a courser designated X4-18. Father orders the Sole Survivor to go to Bunker Hill to reclaim some escaped synths held there under the protection of the Railroad. Like I said it was something that was never coded into the game because no one thought someone would ignore warning Desdemona to continue with the institute missions. The Battle of Bunker Hill is an Institute main quest in Fallout 4. It was apparently just assumed that we would continue to follow and aid the RR at this stage because as you said it would make no sense to suddenly just follow any of the other quest branches that were still open. The game at least in the ones I have played never actually locked us out of ignoring the RR line at this point and continuing with the institute quest line. True it would not make sense but the quest only looks to the variables and stages so the game got confused when the op continued the institute line rather than following the RR branch of warning Desdemona. End Of The Line reamins active until the first stages of The Nuclear Option(Railroad) Underground Undercover stage of warning Desdemona about BoS attack only will trigger once you get End Of The Line giving you the option of progressing in the RR branch doing "Precipice of War/Red Rocket's Glare" or progressing the Institute branch by acomplishing "End Of The Line" target. There's no way out of that branching, no matter what you do, you will never get to destroy BoS with the Institute until you don't eliminate the RR. If you didn't progressed enough in Underground Undercover then you'll have another stages there and you can only choose to do End Of The Line or advancing Underground Undercover until BoS attack on RR HQ. Now I fully finished Mass Fusion (Speak with Allie Fillmore), a House Divided, Pinned, and finally Powering Up. Got all the way to 'Continue Working for Father'. I went to Railroad HQ and spoke to Desdemona and Tom to initiate a Undercover Underground. If your Charisma is high enough, try to convince Z1-14 by saying that you’re fighting for synth freedom. ![]() End Of The Line remains active until the first stages of The Nuclear Option(Railroad) The BOS turn hostile towards you at this point. Z1-14 is unsure about your trustworthiness, however. The best solution would be to go back to a previous save if possible.ĭoesn't make sense: Institute and RR at that point are tied. ![]() This option was apparently not thought of when the game was coded resulting in the game getting confused and thinking you destroyed the institute. Logically this should of resulted in the RR being destroyed by the BOS that were already on their way to attack the RR while you were destroying the airship.
